We would like to sum up all the biggest trends and expectations in business and workplace for 2022. Organizations across all industries are dealing with fast change. On top of that, Covid-19 pandemic disruptions have caused unpredicted turns on people’s both professional and personal lives.

Due to huge global challenges such as climate change and shifting political and economic power, all firms must learn to adapt to rapid transformations. Here are six things to think about in 2022 if you want to be successful in your business! ???

1. Flatter, more agile organizations

The rigid, hierarchical organisational structure has been a standard for quite a while. However, with changing nature of work, more companies recognise the need for flatter, more agile operating that allows the business to communicate quicker and smoother within teams.

It also addresses the shift to remote as well as freelance work which became the new normal with the rise of pandemic restrictions. As a result, more organisations will begin to evaluate whether typical work hours are truly necessary, and some may begin to offer flexibility to their employees as long as the tasks are completed.

To navigate this change effectively, we empower each team member to take up challenges and try themselves out across a variety of tasks even if they do not belong to their primary role. It is important to make room for growth which helps our staff to experiment without the fear of failure. Giving employees the autonomy to perform a task on their own along with creating room for independent decision-making makes the motivated and well-performing team.

2. Authenticity

Presently, buyers are looking to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with brands. The need for connection manifests itself through a better reaction to marketing strategies that involve displaying human emotions, showing your face on social media platforms and engaging with the followers.

The importance of emotional transparency and showing the human side of your business cannot be overstated. Empathy is no longer a luxury, but rather a valuable tool that can differentiate your business from the competition. Growing an active community will be paramount if you want to seal the deal in 2022 and beyond!

The customer loyalty can be earned through being genuine, showcasing you and your employees. We want businesses to be concerned about issues and care for things beyond just making a profit.

For us at Event of Champions®, authenticity has always been at the core of our “why” in running business. Oftentimes, we just don’t know where to turn when we need additional support. We have been in that same place and so we want the Event of Champions® to be a safe place where you learn to Build, Sustain, and Develop your brand or business.

3. Purposeful business

This trend, which is linked to authenticity, is all about ensuring that your company exists to not only make money but fulfil a bigger purpose. Covid continues to shape the business landscape in a whole new way, fuelling the fear of uncertainty. This means that consumers are more risk averse than ever.

Marketers must refocus their efforts on establishing trust with their customers and prospects. The pandemic has changed our thinking and has made us question what’s important to us. Your products and services need to resonate not only with your target market but also the purpose and core values of your business. How well an organisation delivers its purpose will increasingly determine its reputation.

4. Putting sustainability at the heart of your business

Sustainability will become a central aspect in 2022. Businesses will increasingly need to examine their environmental impact, and to identify ways of helping their workers to operate more sustainably, for instance by switching to remote work if possible. We’ll see some other significant changes as organisations strive to minimise their carbon footprints by rethinking their ESG priorities.

Since there is no one-size-fits-all approach to sustainability, it is typically up to each business owner to identify where operational improvements might be made. Being able to demonstrate your sustainability credentials will give you a competitive advantage.

Here at Event of Champions®, we try to keep things digital whenever possible, for example by using Adobe to do most of our “paperwork”. Moreover, all our staff work from home on a regular basis which reduces the pollution cost that would come with otherwise daily commute.

5. The rise of digitalisation

There is so much new tech available, from NFTs to Virtual Reality. Marketers are optimistic about AI’s ability to forecast client demands and actions. Subsequently, cybersecurity will become an even greater concern for organisations. Expect to see the pursuit of mainstream uses of Web3, which is a new technology and iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchains.

This year we will see the first big steps into the Metaverse – a futuristic-sounding concept of a virtual world allowing captivating experiences online. Currently being a No.1 hot topic as it creates big opportunities for virtual offices for people and organisations to come together.

For many firms, it will open doors to additional markets. Even if customers may be a few years away from caring about the metaverse, companies may still gain a competitive advantage by being the first to the market.

?‍? To stay on top of emerging technology changes, our team devotes daily time to checking tech news as well as making learning a priority to keep up with new trends.

6. Videos as the “king” of content

Short-form video content has become one of the most effective tools marketers are currently leveraging. This type of format aligns well with the fast-paced attention spans of online audiences in a variety of demographics.

This is likely why platforms and tools such as TikTok, Reels, and Shorts have gained popularity and marketing interest rapidly.

Speaking of which! Have you followed us on Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube yet? If not, do yourself a favour and never be the one to miss fresh knowledge & tips that could transform your life ?

What’s interesting, the importance of live video has skyrocketed during pandemic. It is being used by everyone from companies live-streaming their events to influencers promoting products. More brands are turning to smartphones to create more relatable and authentic content.

Platforms that were never a primary video channel such as Instagram, began adapting their video function last year to facilitate the use of this type of content. Popular marketing platforms such as HubSpot’s user surveys indicate that video will be the number one material used on all social channels, not just on YouTube and TikTok.
